Invasion '53 will have three screenings this month at really cool events. In Oregon, we're participating in the world's second-largest UFO festival at the McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival. A UFO was seen hovering over a farm in McMinnville in 1950, and now, 75 years later, Sam Shapiro will crash the party! Seriously, how awesome is that?!

The same weekend, in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, we're part of the First Contact Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film Festival, which is held at a 104-year old cinema that's owned by filmmaker Kevin Smith. First Contact has nominated us for 4 awards: Best Dark Comedy, Best Actor (Jeffrey Combs), Best Score, and Best Screenplay. Thanks for the nods!

On Memorial Day Weekend, we're invading Balticon 59, Baltimore's sci-fi convention that dates back to 1967. There will be over 1,500 fans, 300 hours of programming, and, of course, cosplay! It's our first con of the festival run, and we're honored that they sought us out following our Annapolis screening.
