Writer, producer, and director Danielle Weinberg won The Script Lab's 2024 Free Screenplay Contest with her feature screenplay Coastal Watch, which placed first out of more than 15,000 scripts. She recently sold an original romcom feature script, and her play Murder, Party of Ten was featured in the 2023 New Works Festival of the Long Beach Shakespeare Company. The Ladybug Music Festival invited Danielle to speak at their 2026 Women's Week, saying, "a filmmaker with a sharp visual voice and a fearless approach to storytelling, Danielle's work captures the kind of nuance and emotional truth that stays with you long after the screen goes dark."

Danielle’s directorial debut is the sci-fi short film Invasion ’53, starring Jeffrey Combs. On its festival run now, the movie has been selected by more than fifty festivals. It had its world premiere at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival and screened last summer at San Diego Comic-Con. Among its more than twenty awards, Invasion ’53 has won two audience awards and the top juried prize at five festivals.

Danielle is a graduate of the Writing Seminars at the Johns Hopkins University, where she also earned a degree in Film & Media Studies. She holds an M.F.A. in Feature Film Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She worked in development for Alex Kurtzman and the late Roberto Orci (Star Trek, Sleepy Hollow), Orlando Jones and Legion of Creatives. Danielle is an active member of the Independent Writers’ Caucus.

Danielle's writing style is light, witty, and playful. She has been a published author since the third grade. Her influences include Steve Martin, Mel Brooks, and Steven Spielberg. A proud Marylander, Danielle is passionate about classic Hollywood, Sherlock Holmes, Disneyland, swimming, Bing Crosby, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Washington Capitals.

Currently, Danielle is in development on several independent feature films as a multi-hyphenate with Catoctin Pictures.
